Sites & Links to Diversity Resources

The CIRTL Diversity Institute created materials and resources aimed to enable faculty and future faculty to enhance diversity in STEM fields by creating inclusive classrooms and fostering the engagement of all students irrespective of race, gender, or socioeconomic background.

* Resource Book: Instructors who develop strong rapport with their students, make their courses accessible to diverse audiences, and practice unbiased strategies of assessment gain the reputation of being excellent teachers.The resource book is Intended to help instructors with effective communication and course development.

* Case book: Provides case studies drawn from real life experience that encourage reflection and dialogue about difficult classroom, laboratory or departmental situations.

* Literature Review: Become more aware of issues affecting educational access, be equipped with the latest research on teaching techniques, information on the challenges that students still face, and citation sources for grant writing.

* Self-Guided Workshop: Designed to enhance awareness of fundamental issues surrounding diversity and promote awareness, reflection and communication.

* Diversity In-action Toolkit: Is a growing list of activities, geared towards making diversity an intergral part of classroom instruction, that have been created by Delta community members or have been adapted for and used in Delta courses.

* Diversity Web Links:
a collection of online resources that will guide you to web sites and web-accessible documents related to diversity issues in STEM teaching and learning.
